What is ADHD?

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, attention, impulse control, and regulation of emotions. ADHD looks different in everyone.

There are three recognised subtypes:

  • Predominantly Inattentive: forgetfulness, poor concentration, disorganisation

  • Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive: fidgeting, impulsivity, restlessness

  • Combined Type: involving both inattentive and hyperactive traits
